The 7-day tour of the lake will allow you to discover authentic Nicaragua, the land of fire.
We will leave from San Jose (Costa Rica) towards the border on the Atlantic side in Los Chiles. We will spend the first night in San Miguelito, near Lake Nicaragua. Then we will take the stunning paved mountain roads to the north.
From there, we will follow the road by the Cerro Negro volcano and visit the historic center of Leon to sleep on the edge of the Pacific with our feet in the sand. We will see incredible landscapes on our way, between lakes and volcanoes. We will spend a night in Granada to enjoy its colonial architecture and visit the Masaya volcano, the most active in the country. After a last break at the beach of Guasacate and its natural pools, we will reach the volcanic island of Ometepe by ferry to spend the night there and go around it by motorbike.
For our return to Costa Rica, we cross the border of Peñas Blancas on the Pacific side to return to San Jose.
