Royal Enfield Himalayan
This time we are not going to talk about a place but about a motorcycle: the Royal Enfield Himalayan, our most recent bike when we wrote this article in January 2022. It is an Indian-made motorcycle built by the Indian company Royal Enfield, which has been in business since 1955. They were part of the Enfield Cycle Company, which was based in England. Now they are part of another Indian automotive company called Eicher Motors Limited.
For decades, Royal Enfield has maintained its classic design while keeping a very competitive price in the motorcycle market. India does not have the best roads. Rural underdevelopment, wild weather and irregular geography make India a country in need of sturdy motorcycles.
Hence the need to make motorcycles that can endure hard roads, and sometimes even the lack of them. This is also why the Himalayan is well suited to off-road touring in Costa Rica. It is a motorcycle that gets the job done, and it will take you anywhere in the country.
Conclusion
As we mentioned before, the Royal Enfield Himalayan has a very competitive price. This allows Pura Vida Motorbike to rent you an efficient and affordable motorcycle to travel on your own or on our tours. Do not hesitate to check out the tours: let's explore Costa Rica, its beaches, volcanoes and roads, riding the Himalayan!
